It's a pre-Halloween happening! Local candidates take on a Climate Action Plan Listening Session. Who are they going to listen to about climate action? US! We, the people, now have direct input to Chico City Government through our new Climate Action Commission (CAC). CCA is Community Choice Aggregation, which means we will be opting in for clean electric energy at a savings for Chico and Butte County. The Green New Deal Chico was just released by Vice Mayor Alex Brown and Council Member Karl Ory. The volunteer ad hoc Sustainability Task Force was replaced by a Climate Action Commission, (CAC) which will have dedicated city staff and a budget - and its 7-members will include more diverse and under-served community members.
